Sole Touch
Launched in 2013, Sole Touch was established by Kathleen McWilliams, who has years of experience in complementary therapies and is passionate about helping her clients achieve better health and wellbeing.
A member of the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council, AOR (Association of Reflexologist) and AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy) Sole Touch adheres to professional standards at all times, in an effort to keep abreast of therapy standards and best practice.
Kathleen is also committed to continual professional development and constantly updates her skills and knowledge, to ensure clients receive the most effective, appropriate and up-to-date treatment.
The addition of a new talking therapy to Kathleen’s range of treatments has provided Sole Touch with the benefit of a talking therapy that complements all other therapies.
Behind the brand
Meet Kathleen
Kathleen’s career journey is truly commendable. Initially working as a Private Secretary and in the finance sector for 20 years, she developed a passion for reflexology and complementary therapies. In 2005, she earned her reflexology qualification and began practicing part-time while continuing her finance career.
In 2009, Kathleen became a complementary therapist at Ka-Toning in Cookstown. She also contributed her skills at a local day-care cancer centre and provided voluntary administrative support. In 2013, she founded Sole Touch Complementary Therapy, with therapies such as reflexology and massage. Within five years Kathleen continued to build and add to Sole Touch services offering an extensive range of Fertility therapies and community group sessions on personal health care and gentle exercise workshops. Her commitment and expertise have built her a strong reputation, with many clients coming through word-of-mouth recommendations.
Kathleen has the greatest respect and interest in the Owl, a creature she admires for its wisdom and vigilance. Owls, often seen as protectors and symbols of good luck, align perfectly with her dedication to guiding and supporting her clients. 🌟🦉
She is passionate about helping others and loves hearing about her clients’ success stories of pregnancies and births after receiving therapies at Sole Touch. Offering friendly, professional, and caring services in a confidential environment, Kathleen encourages her clients to ask questions and always shares her expert knowledge. She provides personalized therapy tailored to each client’s individual needs, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual issues as required.
In her spare time, Kathleen relaxes with music and dancing, enjoys Tai Chi, which she incorporates into her community classes in the form of Chi Me, and loves spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

a symbol of purity and beauty
Lotus Flower
The lotus flower is specially chosen to reflect the ethos of Sole Touch, due to it’s rich symbolism. Often growing in murky ponds, the lotus flower nevertheless always emerges clean and pure – something exquisite in otherwise gloomy surroundings.
Everyone has beauty within them but the stresses of modern-day life often suppress our understanding of this and we get buried under our emotions and ailments. When we engage in complementary therapies such as reflexology however, we can transition – like the lotus flower – into something pure and untainted.
Reflexology relaxes the mind and body, letting them reconnect as one. It allows us to emerge from our own ‘muddy waters’, feeling refreshed and invigorated and able to see ourselves properly for perhaps the very first time.
