A traditional Eastern medicine, acupressure is similar to acupuncture, but does not require the use of needles. Instead, the therapist applies pressure to specific points on the body using their fingertips, helping to boost circulation and restore your inner balance.
Used to relieve stress and tensionin the upper back, shoulders and head, acupressure can also reduce anxiety and encourage a better night’s sleep. If you suffer from depression or are experiencing emotional problems, then it may also help to induce a sense of wellbeing and peace.
During the session, you’ll be seated or can lie down, and will be fully clothed while the therapist uses her fingertips to apply pressure to your pressure points. These points will usually be very sensitive and pressure will be held upon them until the energy starts to clear.
